They are created to stay in offices, on a work environment. They are meant to be kept inside drawers, on tables, always holding papers and documents. I felt sorry for them and have decided to take them on a vacation trip with me.
Two years after started the project, I used these pictures for a Tap Portugal Airlines campaign.
Based on the theme of collaboration and inclusion, this calendar project brings together creatives and printers to celebrate the eco-system of print in its entirety. To do this, Fedrigoni 365 has enlisted the talents of artists from different disciplines and prestigious creating-printing partners. The result is a unique, multi-faceted partnership that has created a calendar bursting with inspiration for new designers. Acting as a showcase of the endless possibilities of finishing and bookbinding, any designer who marks off each day with this calendar will emerge from 2022 with a greater appreciation for the nuances of print.
My day: Nov 03rd
My thought: how to locate one day inside 365 days of the year?
This collection started as a curiosity. Details of logos, pleasant moments, curious objects, new photographic angles discovered, new fonts, exciting packaging. Always inspired by excellent conversations, laughter, wines and tasty dishes. After some time, I discovered that I had started a collection of photos involving gastronomy and typography. Two subjects that a few years later, ended up being my project in my MA in Communication Design at Central Saint Martins. Later, from this collection, I came up with the idea to print Sans Serif, With Fries, a selection with 50 of the best photos of these moments. They’re 7cm x 7cm, in the shape of crackers. That way, they can be tasted with a glass of good wine. You just need to add salt, pepper and a little bit of kerning.
By using recipes as a basis, I created an internal system around counting characters. The number of characters in a recipe would determine the design approach to layout the recipe in a given interface, in this case, a poster. I consider this hypothesis the embryo of an entire new project that I started this year.
My view. Some of them are illustrating my Home page.

Framing a space in between gastronomy and typography. This experiment goes beyond an experience. It's about getting inspiration from chefs and designers in order to create something new in the field of Visual Communications, potentially in the field of Gastronomy, and eventually creating a new field in between them.
